Aaron Baughman is an IBM Fellow and a globally recognized leader in AI with substantial contributions to the field for his work within Sports & Entertainment, applied research, NLP, and multimedia processing. Aaron was 1 of 5 IBMers who won an individual EMMY® Award in 2023, holds 371 patents, 4x IBM Carolinas Inventor of the year, published in journals/magazines, wrote a Springer book and speaks at int'l venues. He has an outstanding track record of developing/commercializing ground breaking technology from labs such as Jeopardy!, Project Debater, and watsonx to bring them to clients. Aaron has worked on over 60 of the world’s leading live events such as the Aus. Open, Roland Garros, US Open, Wimbledon, ESPN, Fox Sports, the GRAMMYS, USGA, Media Pro, and Overwatch. His other notable accolades include that he is an INFORMS Franz Edelman Laureate, Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on AI, and an AAAS-Lemelson Invention Ambassador alumni.
