Peter Kafka (@pkafka) is chief correspondent at Business Insider, covering media and technology. He's also host of the weekly podcast, Channels, which he produces in partnership with Vox Media. One of the media industry’s most acclaimed reporters, he joined Business Insider from Vox, where he wrote about everything from the streaming wars, the fight for dominance between the major technology giants, and the transformation of media. At Vox, Kafka was host of the weekly Recode Media podcast, as well as three seasons of Vox’s Land of the Giants podcast, covering companies like Netflix, Apple, and Twitter/X. Kafka has covered the media industry since 1997 and interviewed high-profile executives including Netflix CEO Reed Hastings, ESPN chairman Jimmy Pitaro, YouTube CEO Susan Wojciki, Twitter cofounders Jack Dorsey and Evan Williams, director Steven Soderbergh, and more.
